Laurent Ponsot - Echezeaux Grand Cru - Cuvee de L'Erable

DESCRIPTION / TASTING NOTE

Despite the wine's vague description as being simply 'a blend of fruit from two or three suppliers', this is lovely. The sensitive fermentation gives great purity of fruit, with a ripe red and black berry character on the nose, and a texture that is solid, tannic and concentrated, with impressive length and substantial tannins. ABOUT PRODUCER

After 36 years at Domaine Ponsot, Laurent Ponsot left the family domaine in February of 2017 to pursue a new wine adventure. He is joined in this new endeavor by his son, Clément, whose excitement for winemaking is as strong as his own. Embodying his pioneering spirit, the company is named after Laurent himself who values humility, respects nature, and enjoys above all else the great pleasure of winemaking.
