DESCRIPTION / TASTING NOTE
Valdubón Verdejo Rueda is an inspired wine, made from Verdejo grapes. Harvest takes place at night in order to avoid high temperatures, helping minimise oxidation and the loss of aromatics. The wine is made with part of the grapes traditionally fermented in stainless steel tanks and part of grapes fermented in barrels. As a result there are delicate aromas of fennel and citrus. In the mouth, there?s a lively freshness, fine texture, and a rich finish. While the oak is present it does not mask the fruit.
ABOUT PRODUCER
Located in Spain's celebrated Ribera del Duero region near the town of Milagros, the Valdubón estate sits on 100 acres of vineyard, all planted with Tempranillo. Valdubón has become one of the most respected wineries in the region, one whose dedication to producing the highest quality wines in each aging category—from the youngest Cosechas to the spicy Crianzas to the stately aged Reservas—stems from extensive attention in the vineyard in order to garner a deep understanding of each parcel. The wines of Valdubón are powerfully elegant, bold yet balanced, and finely structured, each revealing the impressive character of Tempranillo grown in Ribera del Duero.
