DESCRIPTION / TASTING NOTE

This is a very special Cava only produced in years with exceptional harvests and is especially sought out by lovers of really dry sparkling wines. Pale yellow colour and very fine bubbles, with a delicious aroma of citrus fruit and apple plus a hint of aniseed. We would describe the flavour as full-bodied and refreshing with a touch of dried fruits. Try it with cheese, grilled fish and especially with strawberries and cream.

ABOUT PRODUCER

Over 150 years ago, in the small Catalan town of Sant Sarduní d´Anoia the Sala and Ferrer families were well-known winemakers of quality wines. At the beginning of the 20th century the families were joined by the marriage of Dolores Sala and Pedro Ferrer Bosh. The young couple formed an unrivalled team, Dolores ahead of her time in detailed winemaking knowledge and Pedro, a bright young entrepreneur. Together they succeeded in gaining popularity and reputation for their wines and their hard work and determination was the start of Freixenet as we know it today, the largest producer of traditional method sparkling wine worldwide.
